I'm trying out an unconventional, mechanised, Tactical-heavy, Black Templars list, with zero aircraft, titans or supreme commander (with thanks to Ryan for lending me the army to play! Hopefully one of these days I'll paint up my own but sadly I still haven't found the time yet):
Crusaders (Tacticals) + Land Raider Crusader + Hunter + Las Razorback (BTS)
Crusaders + Land Raider Crusader + Hunter
Crusaders + Land Raider Crusader + Hunter
Crusaders + Land Raider Crusader
Terminators + Emperor’s Champion
Bikes with 1 Attack Bike
Bikes with 1 Attack Bike
Assault
Land Speeder Tornados
Land Speeders
3000 points, 10 formations.
Stompzilla: to give you a bit more info (if you see this in time) Vraksians are a newly renegade guard army from the trilogy of Krieg/WWIIish trench warfare style Forge World books. They're similar to a guard list, with some chaotic elements and different ancient-tech tanks which they liberated from stores. I used them in last year's Winter Warmer and didn't do very well, but they were fun and different.
The vehicles are the main new element. They use 3 different patterns of Malcador tank freely mixed in a tank company, they're like a Leman Russ or Demolisher that's slightly shootier but also slower (15cm move and, yes, that does mean they can garrison). If I'm remembering them correctly the weapon for the different Malcador types are either Battle Cannon, Heavy Bolter, 2 x Lascanon (5+FF) OR Twin Lascanon, 2 x Lascanon, Demolisher Cannon (5+FF) OR 5 x Heavy Bolter, Demolisher Cannon (3+FF).
Valdors are as Malcadors but armed with 1 x 60cm MW3+ disrupt shot plus a Lascanon. Nasty, but 3 strong = easy to break.
Minotaurs are as Malcadors but armed with two Earthshaker Cannons (as on a Basilisk) giving them 2BP each. Again 3 strong.
Looking forward to a great weekend
