This is my "Goddamn, ForgeWorld haven't sent me my second Reaver yet and I won't have time to paint it now. Quick, get a Warlord" list. Had trouble squeezing him in, hence the lack of volcano cannon and, more importantly, no Supreme Commander.


Y'all are just lucky I didn't have enough Gargants painted up, or I'd be rocking an OGBM list.

I suppose my comment does read a bit harsh but you've been chatting with us long enough now, to know that we're an abrupt bunch over at the Flame on bunker.

In other Bristol related funery, will you be bringing any LR Crusader conversion kits down with you, Ben?

To be fair, given that this is a tournament that allows netEA lists, it's hardly that obscure a place to have to look to find it.

This is not a standard epicUK tournament, and as such allows many more lists. Is that a problem for you?

My Girlfriend is from 'oop north, so I'm somewhat used to the attitude.


A lot of us are, as you can see from the lists being posted, using NetEA lists (Vraksians, Templars, Minervans, AMTL, Ulthwe, Necrons, and 2 NetEA-derived Tyranid lists... and that's just what's been announced in this thread so far).

Bristol events are the most relaxed Epic events in the UK, and the acceptance of almost any army list is part of that.

I do indeed pity the fools who have infantry in their armies instead of more big stompy robots. (sentinels are just smaller big stompy robots). I do however pity myself if anyone has any deathstrikes

Also, this will officially be my first tournament where I'm not panic-painting the evening before (I was up till about 5AM for the last maelstrom one, painting orks) as I basically finished everything last night. Not sure how I'll cope without my sleep deprivation induced voices offering "sage" advice, suck as "intermingling all those formations right in front of that warlock is fiiiine. There's absolutely no way he'll be able to initiate a clipping engagement on them all"

Yeah, that's cool, I knew what I was getting myself into when I signed up. I was just being lazy and hoping you'd give me a brief run-down without me having to trawl through a million different lists spread throughout various sub-forums.

I'm sure it'll be fine on the day, I'll just ask someone what something is or does if I'm unfamiliar (Likely!) with it. If nothing else it should be quite a visual spectacle!

Yah, I was gonna be all diligent, and read all the possible army lists, but kinda lost enthusiasm. I'l just let me opponant explain things to me on the day.

If you see me standing glassy eyed at a table, someone is probably explaining how their necrons can jump out one portal, violate my entire army, then scurry into another one, clear of reprisal or somesuch.

Otherwise, yes, expect a large array of crazy armies on the day, no one's going to lie to you about their terminators having DC 20 and the same amount of extra attacks!

Maximum big stompy robot goodness, minimum....not....stompy robot....stuff.

I'm actually looking forward to potentially playing against a Necron army, as they're one of the armies I'm interested in. Should be fun.
