I want to create some walkways around my Titan Hanger bay. Any idea what I can use for hand rails?

I would say, use wire nails for the posts and then use thin brass or steel wire for the rails

buy fine scale styrene ladder (like the scale I beam you can get etc) slice in half lengthways for handrails.

hmm... sometimes my replies get lost :( But yes, I thought of this, but bit expensive considering I was hoping to do two levels of platforms down the side of a 200mm hanger wall.

This took a lot of effort and intoxicating glue, but this is what I managed to come up with.

That looks great :)

Agreed that cutting up ladders would be expensive, but what about this (plastic sewing substrate stuff)?

(above is bulk order place by the looks of it, i was just having a quick google)

I imagine that it is stiff enough to support itself if you cut it to a 1 hole width sections (eg giving a 'ladder'), if you then cut one side off...dirt cheap, very long single piece hand rails, 47p for an A4 of it would give meters and meters of railing?

They sell the diagonal rails you need at any old hobby shop that sells model trains. If you can't find them I can try to drum up a product number for you to order them.

The "Granny Grating" is far too pliable for good rails. Generally good for surface texture, windows, anything that has an external framework to provide rigidity, or requires none. Great looking stairs Lextar.

You can probably do this best with a sprue cutter, a PVE cutting board and .64mm rod.

Cut rod into smaller upright sections and rail sections, line up on a straight edge, line up your uprights with your rail, and zap the joints with liquid poly. Let the whole bit dry and then clip to fit with sprue cutters. Much cheaper than ladders and not far off from what you already did.

Brass etched handrails, stairs and ladders are usually easy to find in a very small scale for detailing ship models. Might be expansive depending on the exact kit, though.

Well thanks for the idea. Problem with poly glue, is the toxic smell. I think even 10 min, I was feeling dizzy. But I was shopping with my wife and came across this stuff suggested by Apocolocyntosis. For £2.10 you get 34x27cm worth and definately stiff enough to do the job! Just need to get some time off facebook lol.

That would be my guess. Right size in my opinion.
