						 That's what I figured (putty is masilla is Spanish, which surprised me but seemed to make sense).
  Anyway, that's a super idea; I always figured normal ready-mixed plaster / spackle / polyfilla would potentially chip / crack / flake off metal washers. But that wood filler is rather more adhesive and presumably doesn't - clever!
