Hello Chaps,

Quick check of those in the know about what system to go for to enjoy some WW2 aerial games, potentially with some 1/600 planes.

Ive heard Check your6 is good, but then again the new 2nd edition Bag the Hun coming out tomorrow.  I'm sue there are heaps of others out there too.

BTW- I need it to be undersandable by a game savvy 9 yr old too (my trusty wingman!)

up tiddly-up!   :flyboy:

I am contract-bound to point out....

http://www.sturmovik-commander.com/

It uses the Aeronautica rules engine from FW.

Hi Tas ... I don't know if this will help, but the best WWI Air2Air Combat game I ever played was the old Avalon Hill's Richtofen's War.  :flyboy:

A 9 yr old has to understand the rules? Try Wings of War II.

have a look at Stan Kuviak's Aerodrome 1.1 for WWI and the Aerodrome 2.0 for WWII. They are very simple rules and have provided myself, my wife and our 10 and 13 yr old nephews with hours of fun. Total beer and pretzels rules sets. They take only a few minutes to learn but a life time to master. He runs games of both at most HMGS US conventions including Historicon.

I and a friend are working on a game called On Wings.. using our own sculpts.. They are not super realistic on purpose.. They are exaggerated in some ways.. almost like super-deformed in some ways.. but still wonderful sculpts hand done and made from home. check us out at the facebook page. On Wings

Snoped around a bit - these two editions of Battlegames magazine have articles about this: #16, #23
