The powerfist at 80% cost $4.06 (£2.53) in Strong White and Flexible, or $4.41 (£2.75) in Black Detail.

The Maxim at 80% cost $2.99 (£1.86) in SW&F and $2.31 (£1.44) in  Black Detail.

One of the drawbacks to shapeways though is that you have to place a minimum order of $25, so it might be worth finding some other stuff you like on there (or saving up until I have made some more stuff  :) )

How does the black detail compare to the SW&F? Is it really any more detailed?

Hmm, now thats a thought.
Lsutehall... Do you have a SG Warlord you can compare the sizes against? I suspect the 100% may still be too big for it, but the 90% should be about right.

You could get quite a bit of kudos for making up a heap of different parts for the SG Warlord. People would love you for it  :grinning:

Its hard to tell (and probably even harder to photograph), but it does seem more detailed. The resolution seems better, the part has better defined edges, rounder curves and no printing artefacts (the WSF has small amounts of what would be 'flash' if this was plastic, but it should be easy enough to clean up.) Details like the rivets on the elbow and some of the piston connections seem better defined.

It's hard to describe, but the whole piece looks crisper

It might show up better when I've primed it (and when my camera feels like taking close-up's).

I do have a Warlord I can test it against, hold on a sec.....

Ok, I think that both the 90 and 100% models look ok, although the fit is going to be an issue as I didn't have access to this Warlord when designing the fist. It should be ok if you remove some of the top bracket. (Incidentally, my Maxim blaster model at 100% is almost identical dimensionally to the Warlord's one)

Hows this? (Please excuse the poor photography)

All 3 sizes

100% 1

100% 2

100% 3

I guess the 90% one looks pretty good.
Maybe still a trifle large though. Can we please see the 80% on the Warlord too? Pretty please?  :;):

Brilliant, I quite like the oversized look, but it would be nice to see the 80% on the Warlord too.

It's a powerfist, it's meant to be oversized!

Look at the IG Commissar...

I'm not at home at the moment, but I ought to be able to post pics of the 80% arm on the Warlord tomorrow.

It would be convinent if the 80% was the best fit, as then its the same for both titans.

Here are the 80% pics. It looks pretty good, but it's not long enough to mount with out a connector block of some kind. (Same can be said of the others too, now I come to look)

80% 1

80% 2

80% 3
