STRATEGY ROLL: TAU!

The turn began with Recon 1 Coordinating Fire with the Crisis Formation to kill every Death Rider unit in the formation.

The Broadsides retain to sustain at the Russ Platoon, destroying three tanks and sending the rest fleeing, broken.

The Grenediers Double over to the buildings near Fire Warriors 2, killing a couple of Fire Warrior units with their Heavy Flamers.

The Reg HQ Co. manages a risky retain roll and Engages Fire Warriors 2 with the Grenediers in support, and Fire Warriors 2 are completely wiped out.

The AX-1-0 squadron fails to activate and stands down.

Inf Co. attempts to activate, fails and rallies off its BMs.

Recon 2 moves around to Markerlight the Grenediers.

Thunderbolt squadron, wary of entering the Skyray's AA bubble, strafes the broken stealths, killing one unit due to laying a blast marker.

Fire Warriors 1 manoeuvers and uses its guided missiles to attack the Grenediers.

Hydras sustain fire on the broken Stealth formation a second time, this time killing one unit, which wipes out the remaining unit due to blast markers.

Skyrays do the same... a few Centaurs are destroyed.

-----

End of turn:

Thunderbolts disengage via the Krieg board half.

Reg HQ Co. rallies and removes some BMs.
Grenediers rally and remove some BMs.
Basilisk rallies.

Russ fail to rally.
Medusa fails to rally.

No Tau formations need to rally from being broken, or even remove Blast Markers.

At this point, I believe the word that now describes this effort is..."tease".  :)

You toy with our emotions in this blatantly flirtatous exercise. Be careful, we may become impatient and seek the favor of another...

Okay I'm never gonna find the time to finish this particular Batrep.

End of turn 3 was a draw.

Turn 4 saw the Krieg pull the iron out of the fire and somehow scrape a narrow win... the Tau just couldn't kill the Krieg fast enough and the Krieg waves of bodies finally found some objectives.

Sorry for not writing out the batrep fully. I'll go back and edit it if I find the time. :)
