Now that the Crimson Bondsmen (Chaos Guard) army list is a work-in-progress reality, we do have a need for Stalk Tanks!

So if you ever feel the need to break off fomr making accessories for bases, might I suggest that these are worth thinking about?

By the way, I came across Dave Taylor's blog on Dakka Dakka which features the h-actual Mantis-like Stalk Tank scratch build someone has linked to in this thread; he says he would like to see someone do an Epic version, too

His is a nice Mantis tank like that illustration, but BL has corrected my previous thought - don't think that is a Stalk Tank but something different.

Indeed Stalk Tanks are meant to be light tanks, about the size of a Predator tank, with at least two 'laser blisters/laser turrets', but no heavy weapon like a battlecannon to speak of.

Wheras that Mantis tank is quite big (bigger than a Defiler).

Oh, there's gonna be a Mantis tank. I don't know what you guys want to use it for, but insect walker robots are too cool to pass up.

I think the Mantis will occupy a similar amount of volume, but its overall mass will be less than a Defiler. It's all conjecture at this point.

I found myself making a tentacle-laden slug foot. This seems like the kind of thing that greenstuffing would be better suited for.
