Here's a couple of ideas for the melting pot.
1/. warhounds cannot be used to claim objectives (except maybe in packs, or possibly only for certain victory conditions ie blitz). Thinking is that a warhound is designed as an ambush hunter and not suited to static defence. I personaly am not sure this will work all that well but I figured it may inspire some other thread of thought.
2/. A destroyed reaver counts as an additional objective that only the enemy can claim, however both sides can control
eg.
in defend the flag the AMTL player must hold the 3 positions plus any downed reavers,
in take and hold the AMTL player cannot count any downed reavers in opponents half as objectives.
whilst on the flip side the enemy may count any downed reavers towards a take and hold victory or possibly defend the flag regardless of where the downed reaver lies
Thinking behind this one is to emphasise the value of each reaver to the mechanicus and the technological secrets an enemy could aquire.
They might not be the most developed and rounded of ideas but perhapps the begining of fresh approach to tackling this problem.
