No!  A leg up is an English expression meaning an advantage over somebody else, like coming out of the starting blocks early in a race.  You see the funny part comes in where they have their legs UP, but you actually think I'm... talking... about... Oh nevermind.   It was funnier when I posted it half asleep.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.  The night camo certainly sounds interesting - although I think I'd need to look into it more the idea of shadowed models is interesting.  Glowing paint!!!

I'm just trying to pick out all the range of infantry you have used... I'm surprised how the mix of jump pack guys in there actually works well.

I'll try to take some closer shots when I have some free daylight hours.  But to break it down:
Stormtroopers = GW Stormtroopers (metal)
Elysian Infantry = jump packs and IG guardsmen (the 40K version with the roundish helmets).  You might notice a few of them are in a high crawl position; I cut them in half and then de-based them, used some green stuff to make a new torso and glued them laying down.  It worked quite well surprisingly, right down to the way the feet and legs lay.
Hardened Vets = A mix of the above with Eldar Ranger sniper rifles fused onto them.  These guys were especially touch as I took the missile launching 'team' models (where you get two infantry guys on the same piece), cut off the back guy, cut off the missile launcher, then glued an Eldar sniper rifle in it's place.
Mortar teams = RTO's, loaders, jump packs, and mortar launchers built from this and that.  They are thicker than they should be but the thinner ones actually looked worse!  One of those scale anomalies.
Support teams = same as above but instead used the missile teams.
After making this army it made me appreciate the Epic40k line so much more - the tremendous diversity built into those sprues and how GW actually had to go out of their way to make the inferior IG sprues we have now.  Astonishing.

Excellent work Moscovian. Those sentinels are great and I think I just might have to revisit some of my old converted Eggs on Legs to make them look more contemporary.
