Not a great photo, but I've always been partial to this design (Mechwarrior CMG Regulator II).  The rail gun has a square tube for the barrel with coil wrapped rods running either side of it.  It extends past the back of the turret for maximum acceleration potential. The Turret itself is a small beveled corner square with mildly sloped sides.  Probably unmanned with just the magazine and autoloader I suppose.

Interesting. A turret mounted railgun may be a bit trickysince the overall design of the model (sort of catamaran style) doesn't leave an obvious position for a single turret. The best position would probably be at the rear of the vehicle but then again that's not a very good position for a direct fire weapon. I'll have to do some thinking and see wht we can come up with :)

We could always do a rail gun style turret for the Empire stuff? That would fit, then that could easily be added to the Amphibious APC chassis?

I'm sure I'll be picking up some in the future, along with other goodies. Will my beloved Khazari be getting any new hardware any time soon?

Don't worry, the Khazari are my personal fav's so they'd get some tools, the main effort however is on the Guild, we'll be finishing off their armour as top priority. We have a pretty full development schedule at the moment, with a few MKII versions of choice designs being done too and of course the huge Guild Mobile Command and Siege vehicle.

Then we have the Empire and Edenite releases - they'll be pretty awesome.

He meant a turret mounted railgun for the MCASV Tom :)

I'm sure we could do a few weapon options for it, but turrets are going to take a bit of creativity to come up with an elegant solution that won't require major redesign or huge and expensive conversion pieces.

I (and I'm pretty sure a few others I could name) am looking for the perfect proxy for the NetEpic Squat Behemoth so I don't have to chop up Colossi.  It needs to be around Colossus size with a turret mounted railgun.  If variants happened to have a massive centreline particle cannon, or huge howitzer and assorted missiles and turrets, well I'm sure others would enjoy not having to troll the secondary market.  Squat armies use lots of these vehicles.  I guess a line of CI sized equivalents might appeal to the well healed who want nearer true-scale proxies, but I'd guess that'd be a minority position.

There are lots of other proxy needs in the NE Squat list too, like MBTs, APCs, Superheavy equivalents, and some cool tunnelers too, but that's for another thread
