Which one did you get? The Great Gargant or the "Normal" one...? I actually love the new Gargants- though they could be nicer, they do have that cool "Orky" feel to them- they are much nicer than the older ones anyway....

it just shows that people have different tastes
my personal preference is for the older old Great Gargant (though I have the old one and the new one as well)

It was a normal Gargant, from the recent Epic40K ed.
It's not bad, and even my girlfriend liked it, well she thought it looked funny if that counts.
Now, I have a Warlord Titan, 2 New style (Yuck) phantom Titans, 1 Revenant Titan, 1 Mega Gargant (Yuck) and 1 Gargant.
Out of them all, I would say the Warlord Titan (its the newest version) is the best.

Sorry Primarch but I must disagree with you. There is no contest. The worst looking Titan ever is the new Eldar Titans.

Yep, I can forgive the Mega Gargant being bad, as it was made ages ago. Times change. The newer Eldar Titan, however, has no excuse. I dont particularly like the newer Revenant either.
I started painting my gargant last night. Its looking really good, it just looks like an over sized Stompa, so it looks really good next to my stompa unit (consists of 5 stompas and 8 dreads.) That should be an awesome two units for me in my games. My hammer.

What dont you like abou the new Warlord? I think its one of the better Titans. I haven't seen a Beetleback in real life, but from the pics on the net, I dont rate it that highly.
Does anyone else prefer the old Revenant over the new one too? The old one, I think, was much more fluid looking, and had better poses, as though it actually was a fast moving thing, rather than the one pose stationary look.

Hi!
My gripes over the newer wearlord are two fold. One is that I think it lost its "gpthic" look when they changed it, it looks to Battletechy for me now.
The other point, which is more important to me, is that that titan was modular, I could fit a whole host of different weapons. The current one comes with whatever it comes with.
The new revenant is somewhat hideous, not as much as teh new phantom, but still ugly. The older revenant was much better looking.

I understand about its weapon fitment. If you want a CC weapon, then it needed a conversion.
The same was true really of the newer Phantom too.

Hmm.. yeah, when they re-release the Warlord (I presume they won't bother sculpting an entirely new model), then I hope that they will bring out a "booster pack" for it, like with the newer Gothic ships, with different weapons, heads, etc.. That would be pretty cool i reckon.
I like the new Warlord BTW, but I like the old one too- they both have their own certain charm....

I have a number of Titans of all races, starting with AT1/SM1 versions thru E40K and the recent Forge World releases. Only about 2 dozen or so, total. As I said before, we see Titans like Naval vessels, so hugh numbers would not be available ie., the US Navy has about 16 Carriers (their premier weapons system), the US Army's 101st Abn Div.(one of my old units ), has about 450 helicopters. So that's our logic progression !!! Anyway weapons evolve, the Mk.1 (AT1) versions of any type Titan is going to look different than the Mk.2 (SM2/TL) or Mk.3 (E40K/Forge World). The M4 Sherman Tank of WWII had many versions, and the Mk.1 first produced was different than the last version heading for the front almost 4 years later. More logic progressions !!! Or you can just say one looks "cooler" than the other. And the Orks... well ... always look ... just plain "Orky" ...
