How do people model Chaos Havoc stands?  I realize that the current Chaos sprue comes with some Heavy Bolter Marines, and Epic Collector even identifies these as "Havoc Marines", but really, they're not carrying autocannons.  Do you chop off the backpacks from Noise Marines?  Do you just use the Heavy Bolter Marines as "counts as" Havocs?

Same goes for Forlorn Hope units -- I'm not sure I'd ever take them, but what are some modeling suggestions?  Mix in some SM scout units?  Paint them up differently?

Lastly, what are some good ways to identify what each formation's patronage is?  Do you simply note it on your army roster, give a unit a banner with their god's icon, mark them with a piece of paper or die or other object?  I grabbed a couple of the latest Chaos sprues, and I'm debating whether to paint a squad as Black Legion or other non-affiliated legion, or paint each squad in their patron's colors.

I recommend painting each formation in the colours of their patron deity, it's much less confusing on your opponent.

The old chaos sprues had a different type of heavy weapon chaos marine if you don't like the current one. They also had different marine models (one for each mark) that could make good forlorn hope.

Again, remember that what heavy weapons a squad carries is largely abstracted in Epic; they may look like heavy bolters or missile launchers but they're still havocs.

With the old marines some people mixed them up (also with mk6's) to make 'chaotic' stands, others used them single type to a stand to make marked squads of marines.

I chopped a load of extra Disc Riders off the Disc models and I'll now use the riders... without their cloaks for Havocs. The remaining Discs will be Screamers for my Tzeentch so no waste.

I like the idea of chopping up the Disc Riders, that's a good one.  Using older models for Forlorn is a good idea too if I can find any easily.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
