Aye, they really are great. I'm debating buying some more tankettes to convert to siegfrieds...

I was tempted to suggest, but I know you're a busy guy :D

I was thinking that they'd look neat with hard tops, for command vehicles I suppose..

I'm comparing a tankette now to a forgeworld hydra hull and the detail I think is better on the tankette (e.g. the uh.. piston thing near the front of the track). I know the rivets are probably out of scale on the tankette, but at this scale sometimes things have to be out of scale to pick up paint properly. Forgeworld tanks often come out looking bumpy because the detail isn't ott enough. Although sometimes ott detail = bad (see specialist games tanks). I think the metal cast also helps oddly to retain detail - I know forgeworld would bitch about the price of metal (as GW have done), but high metal prices are what keep me employed :D

The mrs is away, so I have two whole days largely devoted to painting. In the past...err two months I've almost got those two warhounds completed. Just need transfers now.

Hey those are great! Some the best painted Warhounds Ive ever seen. Good to see someone using the old school techniques and fine blending it is too!
