I think they work VERY well as firewarriors especially mixed with the drones. I might go this route eventually once the Tau list get settled down.

Plus they're made from durable metal.

Yep, when I initially started painting them I was being really cautious and gentle... and then I realized... METAL!  Lifted quite a burden!  *laugh*

The DRM miniatures look fantastic as Tau Fire Warriors.

Why oh why did I foolishly get the Forge World ones.  I still have them locked in a cupboard trying to figure out some way to transport, store and use them without destroying them all.  Resin infantry is way to fragile.

Don't recall seeing these before, but these look really nice Chroma! I do prefer the camo ones to the red ones myself, but both look cool. How's the army coming on these days?

You're almost tempting me round to doing my Tau camo-style, but I think I will stick with my favoured bright orange in the middle of a jungle (either traditional or no time to re-paint camo before new world/terrain deployment).

Hi GlynG!  (And L4!)

I haven't done a lot of work on them lately, but I've got about 3000 points "basic coated"... yeah, I like the "normal" camo ones as well.  I need a few more tanks and some aircraft to round it out... but those will have to wait until my "fun money" fund is replenished... or my birthday comes.

The reddish ones are supposed to represent an Armourd Cadre that got sent the wrong paint in some kind of supply SNAFU, but since it had the "right" label code, the Paint Drones used it.  Now when they went out that way, the Imperials that saw them mistakenly believed these "red Tau" were some kind of elite unit, because they didn't try to "hide with camo", so they fled... and the legend of the "Red Devils" was born... and the AMHC Shas'El made sure to requisition all that paint for future use... *laugh*

Just a silly military mix-up story to let me paint some "odd" colours for my Tau.  All the rest will be in normal camo... and it turns out to work extremely effectively when we play on urban setups and I forget where I've positions models!  *laugh*
