I was wondering why there isn't a "dubious" trader thread. It seems like it would be just as useful (if not more so) than the good trader thread.

Hehe. YEah. We had a "Bad trader notice"-thread running for many years. In all that time I don't think more than one or two people ever got posted in it...and I even think it was because of a simple misunderstanding.

Can't remember if it was the same thread we used to report bad ebay-dealers (recasters etc.)

Then why not combine the two threads? I would like a sticky on who is a possible re-caster (having my own experience   ). I think it would be helpful to us. Especially considering that we are encouraged to support the site through e-bay.

It is a bit off-topic, but is there any chance of having the first page of the Good Traders thread updated with the current running total? Otherwise, it is hard to see who has had what feedback response overall.

In fact, having two combined threads might be a plan:

First thread is a single post with a running total of good/bad feedback (a +1/-1 system with a running total). This is kept locked and an Admin/Mod keeps it periodically updated.

Second thread is open and where folks leave the feedback (much as now), but the feedback can be either good or bad (or neutral).

You can see a similar example I set up at The Underhive. It is slightly different, but we're a smaller board with fewer trades.
