The BoP then kills one more Leman Russ which breaks the formation.

The Dark Eldar win it 3-0, take-n-hold, hold the line, and defend the flag.

Review:
There were definitely mistakes made by the Minervan players.  The low activation count, the placement of the Valkyries, and the assault on the Talos were the worst.  With that said, these guys were new to the list and were having fun.  They made some really good moves as well and it was not a walk in the park for me to pull out the win.  The mere fact that the Dark Eldar survived into turn 4 in such a strong position is a rarity.

Stars of the game:
The Coterie was DEFINITELY the star formation, taking out two Warhounds and just being a wrecking machine in general.  In the past I’ve always hung them back for fear of losing my Supreme Commander.  This game I was brazen with them and it paid off; certainly changing my opinion of the formation.  In fact, I’d say they were a little overpowered if it wasn’t for the fact that it is a 0-1 formation and is locked to the Archon character.

The Hellions were just great.  I am going to have to model up two more stands, though, because I am tired of not having enough.  These guys didn’t survive the game, but they destroyed the Conquerors and forced the Minervans to back peddle their position.  I am glad I brought them.

The Executor change I made last year from 3BP to 4BP is a BIG change and accounted for much of my success.  Despite the lack of massive long range weaponry, I’d say this unit is definitely balanced now and I will not even consider changing its stats.  I felt this way before, but this game sold me that the Executor is fantastic.  Of course, all of that could have been different had the Valkyries done some damage earlier.

Comments welcome.

just one comment from one of the guys on the loosing end (yes the same guy who made most of the mistakes mentioned ealier)
this was the first time seeing dark eldar, so we had no idea what any of the units did.
basically we were shooting at stuff that looked the scariest
great game though
hopefully we will get a rematch soon

It was a pleasure seeing these Dark Eldar in action. Really good looking units. Good BatRep thanks for posting.
