I have one question though.  I am a bit confused as to the thinking behind giving the Howling Banshee Exarch the infiltrator rule, and not making the extra attack of the Executioner a MW attack.  Would you be able to elaborate on the thinking behind this?
The Executioner is still only a STR5 (power) weapon in 40k... and *another* MW close combat attack was boring... the
sniper thing allows for some variety and makes the Banshees more "precision"... giving the Exarch
infiltrator means that the stand she is on now has it as well, so that stand can "acrobatically" avoid enemies and get to the heart of the matter.
Does that make sense?
Ah, I see where you are going with this now. Thank you for the clarification.
Infiltrator makes perfect sense to me, as it represents the acrobatic nature of the Howling Banshee Exarch very well, but I'm still a bit confused as to how Sniper works in close combat. There was a thread about this not so long ago which only succeeded in confusing me further. How do you envisage sniper working in the context of Howling Banshees?
Let's suppose that the Banshees initiate an engage action against a unit of Tactical Marines led by a Captain, and the Exarch doesn't end up in base to base contact with the Captain. Is she still allowed to 'snipe' him? The way I understand how hits are allocated in close combat, I'm leaning towards yes, but I just wanted to get your view on this.
