Some pics of a game the other day, using the biggest army I've commanded solo to date. I offered battle with 15K of Orcs against the combined forces of three mates.  One of my friends loaned me a thousand points of Feral Orks and I loaned him a Warlord to bring us up to 16k :)

Using Handbook 2008 my ork list was:

3x Great Gargant
2x Gargant

3x 5 Fighta Bombas
2x Landa

1x Supa Stompa, 3 Stompas, 4 Dreads
1x 9 Stompas, 6 Killa Kanz, 8 Dreads
2x Warband, 2 Nobz
1x 8 DeathKoptaz

4x 12 Gunzwagonz, 3 Oddboyz
2x 12 Gunzwagonz, 2 Flak, 2 Oddboyz
1x 8 Buggies
1x 16 Warbikes

4x 2 Battlefortress, Big Warband
2x 10 Big Gunz, 2 Oddboyz, 2 Nobz
1x 12 Stormboyz

1x 2 Steam Gargants
1x Orkeosaurus, 2 Squiggoths, Warband
1x Warband, Junkatrukks.
1x Warband, Squig Catapults
1x 15 Boarboyz

My mates armies were roughly 5K each, and we used the simultaneous multiple player rules. Each turn they all took an acivation  and I took three activations, (with optional retains as usual). I divided my army into roughly 3 separate 'divisions' or legal tournament armies before the game and had to select a formation from each for these activations, rather than from just whatever I wanted.

Setup below.

Turn 1... can't remember how many formations broke this turn but it was a lot. The orks make gains in the centre and right but start to be pushed back on the left.

Turn two... the orks capture the central town and push right up to the Chaos blitz objective.

Ork Fighta bombas try to knock back the Chaos forces on the ork left flank, as Landraiders press forward below.

Start of Turn 3... Ork Stomboyz supported by a Gargant manage to capture the town on their right flank from Tzeentch Marines and Daemons. The orks have now captured two take and hold objectives.

Turn 3... Chaos continues to win on the ork left flank, capturing a take and hold objective and come close to capturing the other two. Ork Warbikes manage to save the ork blitz objective from being captured by Chosen formations that have already destroyed 2 Steam Gargants, Stompas and a Big Warband.

Turn 3, Chaos counterattack in the centre with Titans, aircraft and tanks, and six attacking ork formations are destroyed or broken.

And sadly no time to play a 4th turn...  :sigh: we shouldn't have stopped earlier to watch the cricket... or drunk so much beer... !

End of turn 3, victory conditions are 1-1 with Chaos having Break their Spirit, and Orks having Take and Hold. On points the Ork have lost a rather astounding amount of formations... only about 5500 points left and Chaos has more than that remaining. So technical victory to Chaos.

Still an interesting learning experience! Start time of setting up formations was about 2pm, with finish about 9pm including breaks to watch cricket and eat pizza. Only having one player on the ork side definitely slowed things down a bit. Nonetheless I think a game of this size should be comfortably completable for two players if you make a day of it :)

One last pic!
