..I've just started playing Necromunda with my new Goliath gang, and I just wondered wether any of you guys play it- personally, I'm loving it- the rules are easy and fun, and the amount of character your gang can get in a short length of time is fantastic!
I've also been modelling up a bit of terrain over the last few days, as well as adding all the upgrades I got from my few games at the weekend, including converting a power fist.
One of the best things is that you also don't have to spend a bomb on actually building a gang- mine will cost about ?25 in the end- far, far less than my 40k armies, and I've already enjoyed myself much more using it!

I was lucky enough to pick up the Necromunda box set for $60 a year ago from a comic shop, and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. I have Outlanders too, but no gangs to play from it. I'd love to build a Scavvy Gang, but to be honest I haven't played it much. No one I know is disapined enough to stick with it, so when we do play, it's usually drop and go games that are a little easier to set up, like unfortunately, 40k.
That said, I loved reading the rulebooks too. I haven't seen the redux version, but I can't imagine playing it without the terrain, and I have two sets of it.

I also want to say that I recently got into Mordheim, and between the two skirmish games, I think Mordheim is better. Not to say I don't like Necromunda, but the gangs have this clown-look to them, and I just think Mordeim is dirtier.

Yeah, I've considered picking up Mordheim, and will probabvly do so at some point- there is a bit more scope for (easier) conversion with the plastic spures...
The terrain from the original Necromunda set is still available btw, just in a seperate boxed set called 'Hive World Battlezone' ..we have one box at the moment, and I may get another to bulk out our scenery collection...

My group plays Necromunda, we have about 6 people that play on two teams against each other. This way the games arent as tedious as they can be when your gangs get really big. Currently, we are playing Delaque vs Escher. I really enjoy Necromunda, it is a lot of fun.
just my 2cents.

..My current gang has only about 1500exp and 10 members.. so things won't be getting too out of hand too quick hopefully.. Anyway, it sounds like a good excuse to start a new gang when that happens!
