Yes, that's pretty much what I remember from the E40K rule book. And the Death Worlds can be Ice, Desert, Jungle, etc., etc. ...  I could just get the book from my War Room and look, but I think we get the idea ! :;):

..Don't have it on me, but it's something like:

"..A world that posseses just-pre or just-post balck powder technology, some minor cities, and has a slightly higher tithe rate than Feral worlds..."

..Thats basically the gist of it, from memory.. :D

A pleasure...

Feudal Worlds:

Population: <500,000,000>10,000,000

Tithe Grade: Solutio Prima-Solutio Extremis

Aggregate: 400

Aestimare: C750-F1000

Comments: Technical base just prior to post black powder state.  Establishment of wide surface cultural and political organisations  Some useful recruiting for Imperial Guard and Adeptus Astartes.  Slightly higher tithes than feral worlds, compensating for wider farming and animal husbandry.

Cross-Ref: Attila, Boras Minor, Chbal, Molov, Solstice, Taman
----------

Need anything else there mate?

From the description of the Ramilies star fort...

STONE WORLD (Ulthanx)

Yup, either they are fans of the rollings or bascally you can name a planet type in whatever way you fancy it. Stone world is put in brackets, but it is still there :)

Regards,

Xavi

I'm too lazy to check if anybody has mentioned Fortress Worlds so far. Basically they are at least civilised worlds crammed full of military units. Cadia is a prime example.

Are there any others?  None come to mind really....

I suppose Terra is in a category of its own as well..."Centre-of-the-Imperium World" :;):

Hi!

Well, terra IS a category all its own, not only being the cradle of humanity, but where the Emperor resides.

Unlike other "segments" of Imperial space, the Sol system seems to be impervious to raids or assaults, ever since the Horus heresy.

..Well, not quite impervious... a few Necron ships penetrated the defences scattered through the asteroid belt and one ship managed to land on Mars but was later destoyed- some of the first sightings of particular classes of Necron ships I believe.. this just prior to the big 'wake-up' of the C'tan...

Yes, it was Shroud class Necron ships.  And one did land on Mars, and it would seem, accomplished its mission.

However, landing on terra would be a bit more difficult I believe.  Still, you never know with those cunning Necrontyr.

The Necron could do it all right. They just use their Cheddar Arcs to drown the defenses in molten Cheese and go ahead.

Hi!

Damn that new GW fluff... :D

Did the necron ship actually penetrate the Sol system or was it dormant within it already?
