Great Broodlord WMN, really like the colour scheme too, much better than GW's blue and purple scheme.  :grin:

Thanks Mark. Actually your tyranids is a major source of inspiraion for me  :cool:

I've also tested the scheme on a Hive tyrant. A bit trickier this time IMO.

The base obviously still needs some work.

I think this works pretty well, it's almost exactly the same color scheme I put together when I was test painting on some 40k tyrannid models a while back.

Perhaps the whip could be more organic looking instead of gray to help it stand out a bit more?

I rather like the color of the whip. And I dig your Tyranid familiar. I have that model in a bits box somewhere. All in all great conversions and an awesome looking army. By the way, is that chinchilla sand you're using on your bases? I ask because it's what I use on my Epic stuff. Perfect scale.  :smile:

I've also tested the scheme on a Hive tyrant. A bit trickier this time IMO.

I quite enjoy painting the Hive Tyrants... bit of luck since I have somehow ended up with twenty eight of the wee blighters.

The green and bone is a very good choice WMN. It works very well. I don't think the whip is bad at all but purple-ish would look good too I think.

Any chance of a group photo for the whole family album effect?

Just sand from the beaches of Denmark :D But it is very fine grain which I find very suitable for Epic. I tried some of the GW sand many years ago, and found it utter junk: Coarse, and hard to get to stick properly. Why pay for sand when you can just walk out and dig it out of the ground?  :p

Very nice color scheme. No offense to the red and blue 'Nids but I think earth tones look much more realistic. Good job as always WMN.
