I saw this auction on ebay:

Can anyone give me any background on the fig? I've never seen it before. Is it a prototype?

..Hmm, at first glance it looks like the SM2 Avatar, but the legs seem a little thinner and it looks generally taller.... The photo is pretty poor which doesn't really help identifying it.. interesting if anyone else knows some details about it...

Its the Eldar Avatar before the current version for epic40k. I dont have one, so I'm not sure of the difference in size between the two, if there is one.

Hi!
Yes there was, it was much larger, the size of the old chaos demons, about the size of the imperial knight figures.

..the one after the one with the spear- yeah, I remember now.. the coolest Avatar imo.. less "posed" than the first, and bigger than the newest model!

Yes, Primarch is again correct and mirrors my comments. I always thought that all those Greater Deamons and this Avatar we TOO BIG ! We don't use them. But I've talked about this ...

Thanks, guys. that must have come out about the time I bailed on SM/TL and went back to school.
(Not that the two are mutually exclusive. It must worked out that way for me.)
