I'm putting two of the plasma cannons on one of my beetlebacks, mainly for looks but I think it will have some utility. I did wonder at the benefit over the PBG and the lack of range, but I'll not say too much until I get to use it sometime next decade.

Good call wargame_insomniac.

I mentioned the Plasma Cannon range right back at the beginning of the new AMTL list aswell (LINK)

The reason I haven't used it is because of the short range. It's just not worth using over the Plasma Blastgun. I agree that the range should be increased to 60cm to justify it's inclusion.

The fact that there have been so few uses of the Plasma Cannon is quite an indicator.

Is it necessary to make this list with that aweful pink background.

It makes it so hard to read when printed in black and white.

Possible to get it without the colour?

Pages 12 to 14 are printer-friendly versions of the the army lists, and page 15 is a printer-friendly reference sheet.  :cool:

My printer prints this as black on Dark Grey.

I accidentally posted this in the 3.11 thread, but...

Ok I have a question... Warmonger Emperor class titan.

It has 8x doomstrike missiles, it is onlly allowed to fire one missile per turn....

How is this any good when games run a maximum of four turns?

what are the stats for a rapier laser destroyer? they are listed as an upgrade alongside the mole mortar, but there are no stats...

also, can a core formation take two or three of the same upgrade?

Mate, thats a discussion we've had here a few times aswell (considering both my regular opponents are converting up their Warmongers right now).

I just keep telling them that it's the only way to make it remotely fair. Can you imagine firing multiple Deathstikes every turn... :sus:

E&C - I would've thought that most games use the tournament rules to play?

They do, and I think it's a fair way to semi-neuter the Warmonger to be balanced in a Tournament game if it can only fire one missile per turn.

As you said yourself, can you imagine what it'd be like if it could fire two?

Or eight?  :))

Do I understand correctly that a warmonger chooses 8 warheads from vortex, deathstrike, warp and barrage at the time of selecting an army list, then chooses which one of the remaining warheads to fire each turn?

@hurt-wm, if you're looking for the rapier stats, they're:
Name TYPE SPD AR CC FF WEAPONS                RNG  FIREPOWER
Rapier INF  10cm -  -  5+ Rapier Laser Destroyer 45cm AP6+/AT4+
from the siegemasters list.

If you're trying to request that all units from an army list have stats shown in the list, I second that.

Yes, that is correct.


If you're trying to request that all units from an army list have stats shown in the list, I second that.
