Woah Nelly....did Kharne (Chilli Con ?)just get a whole shedload cheaper?  He's now effectively 50 points instead of 250!  I think you should change the 2.5 VPs to 3 to stick with convention too  :laugh: .

I'd think Ahrimans extras are probably worth more than 25 points too, but no biggie.  I do think it would be cool to allow the normal Tzeentch Magi to ride a Disc just for flavour  :)

Ok, so lets haggle. How about I keep the Berserkers for Chili Con Kharnie and bump the cost to 350 Points? Or if I drop the Berserkers would you accept a 150 point cost. I can also be persuaded to bump Ahriman's cost to 200 points, as you said no biggie.

Sure again no big deal for people to make this change themselves.
However, not wanting to go too far off topic I think I had better explain in brief why I do this. Bear with me here...  :rock:

It makes the Objectives even more important and makes for a casualty heavy battle (in most cases)

It's another way of making units worth their points and stops lucrative VP's being gained quickly for relatively soft kills. (150 points units awarding 2VP etc)

I use a special rule for Hatred between races or Character lead Armies that rounds up VP conventionally.

Eldar due to their sensitivity to casualties also always round up fractions conventionally.

The Assault Scenario affects VP and makes the game unbalanced IMO. But this goes a long way to addressing this problem.

Tyranids would normally just gain points for breaking detachments and then again for wiping them out. In an Assault scenario this can be doubled again. Keeping in mind that the Tyranids follow the rules for Hate for all races then the VP works out the same as conventional rules for VP.

It's just another idea that may suit some people but not everyone. I personally find it works but wouldn't dream of using it in a comp or anything official. Since I only play in our own group it's never been an issue.

So now you know  :oo: . There are probably more reasons but it's 02.48am here and my brain is fried so 'nuff said. So I'm off to bed  :sleep:

Oh, thought of another!.. Imperators! 2225 points but 24VP ?? :sus: ?? My way 22.5VP  :p  You know it makes sense... in a crazy sort of way.

I think keep the Berserkers and make it a 350 point (and 4VP   :laugh: ) detachment is probably about right.

I guess Ahriman isn't all that much more effective than the standard Magi, so even 175 isn't a long way off.  Just when you look at the additions in isolation I kinda thought "that's gotta cost more than 25 points."

All this is basically just constructive feedback....you can do whatever works for your local group.  If people who use the Optionals book like the look they can try it out too  :D

Yup, the more I think on it the 350 point mark just clicks when you include the Berserkers. Then if you don't want to pay so much you have the Scyrak option. Thanks for the help.  :agree:

Seems close to be fully OK :)

Ahriman:
- you may grant him 1 more dice shot (25cm/2/4+/0) and keep the cost at 200
- BP should be "model" instead of "*"

Scyrak:
- BP should be "Model"
- VP: 2 (there's not half VP in NetEpic and 125 points are 1VP, 150 are 2VP)

Kharne:
- BP should me "Special" or "Kharne stand"
- VP: 4 (same explanation as Kharne)
- There's not need to repeat Berserker stats as they use the standard profile. And I just noticed that the berserkers description says "they are immune to all morale check" but the stats table says "morale 2+"...surely a typo.

You could convert the .doc files to pdf with a virtual pdf printer like PDFCreatorbefore uploading them :)

You are aware scream you are giving my limited ability to embrace new ideas and skills a work out here?! I have to be careful as to just how much I allow myself to advance technologically... I don't want to go into Futureshock after all.  :oo: (Apathy shields at maximum!)

Oh. alright!.. I admit it! I couldn't get the flipping thing to damn well work!

However, just for you scream I have relented and have stepped into line (even though I still think my way is better  :p ) and dropped the 0.5 point VP to cost thing.

Weren't Berserkers always Fearless? Can't imagine one legging it 'cause he got a bit of a fright, can you?
