Aren't they the only drinks?
Hope you had a good time 'V'

Too true  8v)
Grand time - the Tower was grand, as was Mam Tor. And I managed short Tai Chi sessions on Win Hill and Ringing Roger too.

Meanwhile - back to work!
On Friday I finished a small Niddy beast which I'd started before the holiday - it's a Haruspex or something-elspex without the tin-opener arms, and looks like a slug with tusks. Then I set to work on the two old Wardens I bought from the Wargames Emporium 2nd hand, and reassembled the old style 28mm Necron Immortals, with two being modified - the commander of the squad no has a flail, and one of the Immortals is now sighting down the barrel of his very big gun - a very easy and effective change to arm positions was all the latter took. I also tackled a Khemri skeleton (a paint test), whilst today I test-painted an Elf. There's the national Warhammer tourney in September, and I need a new army. Trouble with the Elves is that a few are MIA in the pile of stuff, and I'd also need to buy the new rule book; so the Khemrians have won the day. looks like the menagerie will consist mostly of bits of bone for the next weeks. But can I paint an army from scratch in 5 weeks? Anyone who knows me will say NO! Still  - 'ere goes.

So here goes a Khemri diary:
Day one (yesterday)
painted a test model, an old, old skellie with a scimitar. The old chap got away with a very rare right-first time. And then inspiration struck. I know have a scheme which (1) looks good) (2) is weird and unusual (3) is FAST. I'm pleased.  :vD  It won't win any prizes, but I'm happy with my idea.

Day two (today)
Dragged out the Khemrians who had defected to my Vampire counts army as well as a Tomb scorpion (modified slightly, surprise...) and 3 tomb swarms. If I finish these I would already have 2 units done - bit of a morale boost, see?

1 swarm started. Perhaps I should also start to plan the army. I need to choose between cavalry focus, foot focus, or a mix of both.  :sulk:
