Greetings All,

For some time now, I've been pondering the effect that Apocalypse is likey to have on future titan rules...and I believe, that like it or not...Apocalypse game mechanics will play a significant role in the next version of Epic..or whatever replaces it.

That being said, I also understand that there is also a strong dislike (dare I say hate) among many here for anything having to do with Apocalypse.

That too is ok, as this is after all a forum for Epic rules development. :)

Personally, I like what I have seen in Apocalypse, but I realize that I'm probably in the minority here. ?I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, but I also feel that we should not totally ignore the direction that Apocalypse may be leading us simply because we might not like where GW and Apocalypse may be taking us.

Having said this, let me also state for the record that I agree with the stance that Evil and Chaos has taken in regards to the direction the current list is taking.

We must be mindful of the legacy issues and work to develop a list that keeps them to a minimum.

Now then...on to my suggestion for the future. :)

Once the current AMTL is complete..and only when it is complete, perhaps we could look at putting together a modified list that attempts to mirror the changes that are taking place in Apocalyspe.

Use of such a list would not be used for tournaments and would strictly be voluntary and its use would be for use in "friendly" games between friends.

This list would be in effect a "clean" sheet of paper and would free us from having to worry about causing major heartburn among the group because we have invalidated a favorite weapon or titan configuration.

I realize that some of you will want nothing to do with this, and that is fine. I am merely trying to address the legacy issue in a manner that will be agreeable to all concerned while at the same time trying to look toward what the future may hold for us. :)

What are your thoughts?

Regards,

PlushWombat

If you want to, you can obey the weapon restrictions found in the Apocalypse book under the 3.x rules.

I don't think a second list, in the absense of a model release from GW, is particularly desirable, when the 3.x already allows you to 'follow the fluff' if you want to.
