My fleet ended up stomping Scott's fleet something fierce.
His fleet lost one cruiser to a spectacular detonation, and a second cruiser was reduced to a drifting hulk.
His remaining three ships disengaged soon after, with his heavy cruiser crippled at the time with its bridge smashed.
My fleet lost a damage point here and there, but no lost ships, and I managed to claim a planet and scrap Scott's drifting hulk for extra points after the battle... a grand victory for my Imperial Reavers!

Damn. I was cheering for the Chaos fleet!
It looked like it was going to turn into a brutal game just as I left! I am not sure that having the Chaos Cruisers so close together was a great idea, they usually work better in two groups, focussing their broadsides on a single target from two directions.
Thanks for the update.

Aye it was a difficult scenario for the Chaos player, starting so close to the Marine ships, and we discussed ourselves after the game and reckoned that Scott had failed to exploit his deployment zone properly.
