I'm planning on doing a conversion for my upcoming inferno cannon armed Reaver.  I want a few burning xenos and xenos vehicles on its base, but I don't know the best way to sculpt realistic looking flames.  Does anyone have any good pointers.

thanks in advance for any help.

Have you seen the bases of the Wh40k Chaos Raptors? It could look something like this.

Yep, just squidge the greenstuff into the rough shape of the flame, then press in slightly wavy lines all around with the edge of the tool, that should do.

That said, if you take cotton wool, coat it in PVA glue and shape it you can make pretty decent flames...
