I got a good test of my Epic Imperial forces last weekend with three games against different marine players.

Had some classic gaming moments.

My favorite was in a game where one of my flanks was nearing collapse, I had two infantry formations and some rough riders almost at the point of breaking against a tactical formation and terminator formation (with two dreads) shooting them to bits from heavy cover, with a unit of Land Raiders supporting them from just outside the cover.  I had been hoping to isolate the Land Raiders and assault them with my rough riders but the plan had all gone to crap.

Until my Bane Blades rolled over the hill, with a couple of units of Ogryns jogging in front to protect them from enemy infantry attacks.

My opponent expected me to attack his Land Raiders but in previous games I have found it hard to take out Land Raiders with Bane Blades shooting.  Instead I shot at the terminators, proving that the Dreads were actually a liability as they were much easier to pop.  I managed to break the terminator formation leaving the Land Raiders isolated, I followed this up the next turn by assaulting the Land Raiders with my Bane Blades and shooting them down as the Marines were hopelessly out gunned (killed one in the firefight and the other three in combat resolution).

Knowing that I have been looking for an Ordinatus for my titan legions Onyx gave me and early Christmas present.


Which I have painted up and added to my Imperial Forces

If anyone just happens to have a spare Sentinal (new SG version) lying around I want to trade for one so I can try making a loading sentinel with power claw for the ordinatus.

The pack had an extra tank in it which I tried making an experimental heavy plasma cannon tank with (Onyx's brother needs one) it looks kinda small though so I think using an SG baneblade (Onyx's original idea) will be a better option.

I've got an extra fussion gun anyway to make one up with the baneblade, will bring it up next time.
