After a long trip to the nether regions of Bangladesh, followed by a long period of being sick, following by an even longer period writing my monster 100 page report on the feasibility of replacing food transfers with cash, all the while being banned from anything wargames related by my wife, I have returned! With a spell checker!

Well, it is thrilling news to me. I should be in the UK for a couple of weeks at Christmas/January as well.

Glad to hear you're alive and well Chris :D  I hope the wargaming ban is lifted whilst you're back in the UK, at least

Oh and I am amused by apocalypse. Funnily enough i do have enough models for 40k armies from my teenage days of playing rogue trader/2nd ed, and everyone else stopping and giving them to me.

So 200+ terminators vs 300+ genestealers anyone? :) Or 500+ marines vs inumable Guardsmen?

I'll be damned if I ever play 40k again though, the rules are just beyond the pale. If I want that many 28mil models on the board a few inches from one another I'll play other systems. Probably involving teddies and barbies and my daughter running one of the armies.

Once you go 6mm you realise you never needed anything bigger... :)

GW interviewed me for a job as a games designer and asked me what I'd do to 40k.

I said I'd make it more tactical, like Epic...

... I did not get the job. :D

Because she was fed up with me being awake at night and posting messages, instead of sleeping next to her. I argued that she was asleep, how could she know?

I might be going to York for a few days, as a) family liked it, b) pays to keep referees sweet and c) in 5 months I saw more of mansfield town centre looking for my lunch than i did of York.
