Looks like some type of burrowing 'nid beast.

Is this what GW is passing for illustrations now?  It looks like something out of a Where's Waldo book...

It has a nice old school feel, though. Stealers stealing from the tubes, Thunderhawks crashlanding, pod-dropping termies creating a perimeter, a Warhound doing its stuff, and the wonderful diggynids :) :) I think I like it.
But I haven't found Waldo :(

I really love this illustration, the full version is four times the size I think. As vanvalak says it has a cool old school feel.

The extra sad part:

They have really been into Epoxylips here at my local store since it was released (even before...our local store owner gets one copy of everything well in advance)...and thats just about what most of the games end up looking like.

Huge armies cram-packed onto tiny play areas...they are putting 2 4x6 tables together for a 6x8 play area, and it STILL looks too small to me.

And I keep telling them...I've been playing that game for years now.

Its called Epic.

The truly hillarious part is how Apocalypse armies set up 12" away from each other... any army can be in CC on turn 1 if it so wishes... :D

Shouldnt it be "Where's the Warmaster?" - see if you can spot a clone of Horus running around in the picture. "Hi kids! Chaos cannot be denied!"

Anyway, I do like the pic - its just a different style, almost cartoony - fun, like what apocalypse is meant to be I gather (not that I have played it). Thats probably where they are coming from with it on an aesthetic level.
