Hmmm... You know I partipated quite heavily in the Eldar revisions but toward the end my eyes just started to 'gloss over'.  It seems that an older version 1.6 of the Eldar changes stuck in my mind and I never got rid of it.  In fact I've been playing with it for a long time now.  I just made the assumption that Sotec never got rid of it when in fact he must have since 1.7 and 1.8 don't have the 15cm max restriction on consolidation.

How embarrassing!  I'll change it today. For the record I never liked that change but I wanted to support the Eldar revisions en toto.

Charad,

Thanks for the analysis. You seem to play the list quite a lot, how do you rate the Slavebringer?

I have to admit, I still like the idea of giving it the extra shadowfield.

John.

Link at top of thread is updated to go to 1.4.1.  Turns out that I left off a few other mods (Reaver and Hellion point adjustments) on top of making some in promptu changes on the Executor.  I reworded it as per Hena's suggestion and also gave it BP4.

I am leaving the horrendous critical on the Executor however.  Even without weapons it can still assault, transport, claim and contest objectives, not to mention it got two boosts to its firepower and the free planetfall adjustment.  I hope I haven't made it too powerful!

Slavebringer will remain as is.  I think this is more than enough changes to the list for quite some time.  Playtesting is in order, for sure.  If you see any other mistakes, however, please ID them and I'll start a list of corrections for 1.4.2...  Thanks!

By the way, can I echo from above... great work on this, Moscovian.

Thanks for the update. At first glance I didn't found anything to correct.

I am leaving the horrendous critical on the Executor however.  Even without weapons it can still assault, transport, claim and contest objectives, not to mention it got two boosts to its firepower and the free planetfall adjustment.  I hope I haven't made it too powerful!

Too powerful, eh... just check manta's stats and weapons and you'll fould that executor really isn't too powerful. :D
I try to have few test plays with it, and I'll let you know how it worked.

Thanks for the analysis. You seem to play the list quite a lot, how do you rate the Slavebringer?

I field one almost everytime, but still haven't tried more than 2 in a single game. (because I don't have models)

pros:
-it is impossible to kill it with a single hit.
-it shoots one 5+ shot against all interceptors, no matter where they attack.

cons:
-worst shooting  2dc transport aircraft (with few exceptions: RA units)
-bad in FF
-not durable after first attack run

Cost is fine, with one exception, kabal syndicate, which loses 3 raiders for taking slavebringer. But it is not good to have many different costs for single unit, so it is fine IMHO.
How do you feel about it?

Well, I'm frantically building stuff right now, as I'm just starting out, so I've not played DE yet. I hope to have a WIP post up tomorrow, depending on tropical storm Noel.

Image up in the Gallery on the Wiki.. As these are WIP images, I'll not post them to Moscovian's DE gallery until painted up and finished.

Nice WIP pics. ?Keep them please as we could use them for the modeling section for the DE.

Kashnarak looks good, Razorwing looks appropriately bladed, Reaver is reaverish.

You are missing some Raiders and Ravagers though. ? :;):
