I struggle to justify taking them over leman russ at the moment. Maybe try them at 100pts? I believe this is too low but i'm not sure by how much. If other 25pt options will be added then perhaps 125 would be a good price for them?

It looks like Ogryns and Snipers could become 25pts per base (1-2 per Upgrade), so 125pts could be possible.

IIRC TRC (The Siegemasters champion) recomended 125pts for Hellhounds in the siegemasters list something like two years ago.

That was because they are less useful to siegers due to a lack of mechanised formations - the steel legion have no such problem and I've used them, sometimes with demolishers as well, to create a very strong offensive anti inf formation.

I wondered: Is there any unit with ignore cover FF attack, despite of some playtest armies (necron spider scarrabs)?

There are MW FF (which takes away the cover of defending infantry), but I haven't seen a normal one ignoring cover.

The the question would be, giving the ignore cover to FF at all (as it would only effect defending infantry).
Discussed units were Hellhound, Scorcher, Demolisher, Vindicator, Baneblade.
A new one would be other flamer and city fight weapons.

And not so serious: One unit would get a new right to existence: the heavy flamer SM dreadnought, which is sold by SG. If it doesn't reach the enemy for base contact (+1 EA MW), it would still have an ignore cover FF. :-)

The "Heavy Flamer" Dreadnought you are refering to is in fact armed with a Multi-melta. :)
Rules for it can be found in the Salamanders armylist The Real Chris an i are working at.

For me the Dreadnought weapontry looks like a Flamer, how do I distinguish between them?

Are there Flamer as well as MM Dreadnoughts? My looks like flamer dreadnought is from a Epic40k blister. I thought these were the ones solt (in addition to Assaul+Claw and Laser+Missile) by GW online.

Looks like there are both MM and Heavy Flamer dreadnoughts from the Epic:40k era

Dreadnoughts at Epicollector

Number 3 has the Multi-melta and Number 5 has the Heavy Flamer.

No. They are both Multi-meltas. Dreadnoughts can't be equipped with HeavyFlamers on their right arm. The left CC-arm has an underslung Stormbolter which can be replaced with a HeavyFlamer.
For the right arm there are only AssaultCannon, TwinLascannon and Multi-melta.

Yup, you're right BL, I thought the arms were molded on, but they're separate pieces, the "5" one looks more rounded at the end in the picture, similar to the double barrels of a heavy flamer.
