9lb 13! I told my wife and she grimaced in sympathy...

Congrats to you both. Now just train him up well, and you'll have someone to game with in your old age...
Regards,
Reaver

Thanks guys!

And Otterman, she is pleased, very! She is very gentle with him.

BH, don't be surprised if your eldest turns on the baby for a time.  My daughter Samantha was 2 years old when Rebecca was born.  She was very excited about the whole thing until she actually saw the baby in the house.  After that we got statements like, "Put the baby away now", "Make the baby go away", etc.  It lasted about two weeks and was a bit unnerving.  Hopefully you won't have to deal with that. :)

Hopefully you'll escape sibling rivalry. My daughter Ruby was also two when my son Red was born and there has never been any friction ( yet ). Anyhow, everyone is different.
Good luck again, and have fun
ps glad to see so many parents.... we may be geeks but we'r still men   lol

Not me... Two is enough! Argh, smokezombie... third? I'm getting a headache at the mere thought

Anyhow, congratulations, BH! It's the start of all the fun again. The wierdest thing about having our second one - and one of the most rewarding things - is that he is a different person to his sister. Sounds stupid, but it took us completely by surprise...

We didn't have any real sibling rivalry, although even now they scuffle over who gets to cuddle mummy when they're tired (even when I'm sitting right there saying "What am I, chopped liver? What's wrong with daddy cuddles?"). In fact, when Xave was born, we had quite the opposite problem - she was facinated by the baby and thought he was great. And wanted to play with him all the time. "Wake up baby! Time to get up now!" ... and we were quite of the opinion that it wasn't time to wake the baby up right now...

;)

Today at 16.15 (4.15pm) my wife Angelique gave birth to a wonderful son: Rick.

He is 54cm long and his weight is 4460gram (4,46kg)!

Wow. That's 'bout  100g more than our latest "mini" was. What are you folks eating up there anyway?  Steroids? :O

Congratulations!

Fortunately that latest mini of ours seems to be a lot less wild than his big brother...

Thanks guys!

My wife is doing real fine, lucky Rick was the second!

Nina (who weight 3830 gram and was 50cm with her birth) is dealing with it but when visitors come she is very wild and over enthusiastic.
She is wild, clever and knows what she wants. But also very sweet. But we need to guard with the baby near as she can be a bit too 'gentle'!

Odd how fast you deal with having a kid. It is immediate ours. Being a parent made me a better person.
