I'm starting to think about doing a Hive Tyrant and noticed that other than the head, there isnt any difference to the new 40k version compared to the epic version.
Has anyone convrted an Epic scale Hive Tyrant?

Not that I know of. Apart from Genestealers the Hive Tyrants are the models that have changed the least over the years IMO. Sure the new Hive Tyrant is more detailed than its predacessors but the overall body shape and posture remains the same.

The 4th edition Hive tyrant is actually very similar to the 2nd edition Tyrant that the Epic 40k model was based on... thus they're pretty much fine IMHO.
