I am putting together an Eldar Army so people can try out various armies  when I introduce them to the game.  My question is what do people use for round bases.  I am currently trying US pennies (cause they are well just sitting around) but they are smaller than the square bases and do not fit more than 4 Infantry models and those are tight, so larger things like Support Weapons take up the whole base.  Any thoughts ideas?

i've seen a good but time consuming one which is the standard 40K round flat base with the edge cut off, or if you can get one of those large hole punches (obvesily one that makes big enough hole :D ) plasticard and use the punched out bits.

English 2p pieces work very nicely. Though probably hard to find in America. See it's all your fault if you weren't all traitorous scum that don't know what was good for you, you too would be able to deface the Queens currency.

I think I will keep with pennies... it is for Eldar,  the few models per base will make them look less numerous and for Iyanden that fits really well.

If you don't mind spending some cash I'd recommend Litko's bases.  I use the 0.8mm thin wooden bases and the flexible magnetic bases in conjunction.  You can drill 1/4" holes through the wooden base for the figures and use the adhesive on the magnetic base to hold the wooden base and figures on it.

The top of the figure's bases are flush with top of the wooden base and it makes for a nice look.  On top of that Litko has practically any size you would need.

Try using washers. That gives you can the added advantage of being able to choose different sizes.

Yep washers work great.  I just use miliput to stick the models on.  An extra advantage of this is that you can use magnetic sheets to transport your models.
