P3 paints, first experience

I did some paint chits of a few Privateer Press Paints yesterday. Here's a crappy, poorly saturated picture of them. Need to figure out how to work this thing again!

The three colors were sanguine base, menoth white base, and menoth white hilight.

The sanguine base is very similar to cadmium red (warning: contains cadmium) or hull red. Coverage is good, as one would expect from a dark red.

The menoth white base is more similar to Vallejo MC iraqi sand. Note the two different shades on the chit - this is from the same bottle, but on different days. Implies rapid settling, even after extensive shaking the dau before. Coverage wasn't good, but wasn't bad.

The menoth white highlight closely resembled Vallejo MC ivory. The P3 coverage was great compared to the ivory.

So, the jury is still out on whether these things are worth it or not. At least, to me anyway

It's closer, thanks. Try tuning the red up in the third row, then it will be perfect!

And yes, I am experimenting with the different shutter speeds, aperture settings and so forth.

My other experiments with color correction via software are not so successful.
