The epic nid range infantry actually look like they have been made in this way with the plasticard or whatever they were sculpted on left in the middle.

There is also infantry, whose only function in Epic is to provide valuable traction to Titans walking across snowy paths.

About that: I think I mentioned it before, or linked to it.  A topic on TMP about some guy's insanely detailed 4mm napoleonics - remember it?  Tom Meier joined in with his own 4mm version of Napoleon himself; his own experiment with procreate.  He mentioned he had sculpted it this way (first half on plasticard).  I hadn't heard of the method and it sounded like an interesting idea.  I'd go as far as saying it's probably a more useful method than an armature in some cases.  From my POV anyway. :)

And yeah, I agree with Mark.
