A few little things I tried when I first got procreate putty...

Needless to say the hormie is still WIP. ?Once I sculpt the leg and claw, I'll pop the whole thing off the plasticard and sculpt the other side.

I probably should've stuck something in there for scale. ?Best I can offer at the moment is that the plasticard bits are cut from ~30mm circles.

:D

Otterman: it needs a little getting used to, if you normally use GS.  But once you do, it's pretty good stuff.  The main selling points (and the reasons for it's creation and manufacture) are reduced memory, longer working time, differing properties according to mix ratio (e.g. with more resin it acts like brown stuff - hard edges are easier to sculpt), neutral colour, and a couple others I might have forgotten from the initial internet discussions.
One disadvantage is that the 10-20 minute wait after mixing is probably more important with this than with GS.  It can be a little too soft and sticky right off the bat.

Wow. That is looking really good.  Are you planning on doing many or is it just a one off experiment?

Yeah like Hena says! You could start your own business selling 'Nothing but Ravener' :)

Great work.

Man, I wish I would be able to do something like that.

May I suggest a Ravener for next project? Then perhaps casting them as well ... and sending them around the world in a mighty plan for world domination :D.

Tsktsktsk. No copying (or even talking about copying) Raveners here, please. However, bio-creep swarm beast is completely acceptable.  :;):

Oh, and the sculpts are excellent, as always.

GW might not take kindly to me butting in on their own plans. :D

Mark: the rippers were a one-off, but then I started having ideas of sculpting up another couple of swarms and casting them as biotitan base decorations.

Ta all!

fantastic stuff! i must ask why you sculpt in halfs? surely doing half the model then the other half must take getting used to? and is this a common method in sculpting?

Dunno, but I see how it could be very practical: Especially if you make something to be cast in a two part mould.
