I just had wanted to see what you guys are using as basing material. ?I have just started a new marine army and am not sure what material to use. ?I want it to look like hardend earth or volcanic type of ground. ?Any help or pictures would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think Woodland Scenics produce something like that but I've never tried it yself. An alternative might be to try and use common in a very thin layer. Might be tricky to apply but once dry it should beginn to crack. Then seal if off with a layer of PVA glue. Might work, might not.

I have not tried this, but I would probably mix very fine sand in with PVA glue and build it up. Let us know what technique you use and how it works.

Hmm... off the top of my head, uneducated guess - watered-down filler? Not so watery that it runs off the base, but that it might crack a bit when it dries. Then a seal of pva.

Hi PLM2212 "Palm,"
I refer simple PVA with sand to fill in the gaps, a layer of paint, and then finely ground flocking.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
