To complicated imho. So would drop one-shot.

Aye, I'd drop one-shot (And stick with something similar to the stats I proposed, lol) :)

maybe they could be cumulative, one AA +6, two AA +5, three AA +4,
to represent the air around the swarm getting more and more saturated with mines.

I kinda like that though it'd be a change to how all other AA operates.

I think it's viable to give Nodes an AA-attack. And to go with Pulsars idea with cumulative effect, first shot 6+ second shot 5+, to represent more and more mines being released.. But I can also see the issues with yet another special rule.


Also, some thoughts on the other propositions:

I would like to give Trygon 2DC and subsequent cost reduce. And I prefer to merge the two carnifexes. There was a good example of one earlier in this thread. The rest of Hena's troop edits look very reasonable. I will try and playtest them.

By the way, this is my first post on this forum (twice edited!). I'm playing nids, obviously, and really like the EA rules.

I'll be playtesting the latest suggestions this coming weekend and just wanted to clarify a couple of things that you have suggested. I am not going to try the new spore mines as I feel these need a lot more thought.

So questions....

1. Broodlord - "May have 1 for 50 pts" - do you see this as 0-1 per army or per swarm?

2. Broodlord - Inv Save - try with or without?

3. Dominatrix - Inv Save - try with or without?

4. If I try a Trygon with DC2 (which I quite like the idea of) - what do you think would be a suitable cost? 100 pts? 110 pts?

I'll give the 175 pt Nexus group a run out as well as raveners with 5+ saves.

I'd say that the Dominatrix should have an Invulnerable save (And that may be the majority opinion).

Aye, but there is historical precedent for giving the Dominatrix an I-save (In previous editions of the game) and at DC-6 it's going to need additional protection.

Dom used to have 4-6 invulnerable save in Epic40k!!

I think it needs at least an invulnerable save in EA. It is one of the most powerful psykers around and is supposed to be surrounded by a warp field.
