Cadians would be pretty similar to the Steel Legion list, except they'd have Chimera-mounted infantry as a support formation only (Not as a Company), and they'd have Conscript companies (Which would be 20 or so stands, with inferior FF of 6+ and probably no/few ranged weapons).

Cadians also have psycics, which might be interesting to work into the list as an Upgrade.

Ruleswise I think they're codex-adherants.

Well, perhaps we should be looking at the upgrade to 4.4.1 as the final run before release?

The development has taken a lethargic turn recently, and if everyone was geared up towards getting the list signed off, we might make some progress.

And what we could do is:

*Work on the next revision,

*Get it signed off as an official Tau list,

*Write up some Third Sphere-related fluff (or just adapt it from JG's excellent work) and throw in a couple of extra lists (such as the Gue'senshi and the Alaitoc Eldar) and put it all together as Epic: Third Sphere!


I can understand your caution, but we are close to having a ready list (I'd say it was fine already, but some careful tweaking wouldn't be a bad thing) - but we won't have many more windows of opportunity open (such as when IA3 or the Codex came out) to make the most of the release, and it might be an idea to strike while the AI iron is hot.

In other words, find out when the AX-1-0 is being released, and have the pdf go up at arounf that time.

The Cadian Gate was a major feature of the last Black Crusade campaign.  IIRC, when the CI was canned because of lack of model production, Jervis made a comment to the effect that it might be included in a Cadian list.  However, that was 4+ years ago and I might not be remembering that correctly.

The Warp Runners, being stationed on Cadia and playing a large part in the background as defenders against the Eye of Terror, might be an option for a titan list as well.

Of course, since the Black Crusade/EoT campaign is long gone, there's not any especially good reason to stick with it...
