I've started painting my androsynths, putting on base coats of Shadow Grey & Black wehere the metallics are going to be. ?Unfortunately, I've discovered that my brushes are past it, and the paint's going a bit all over the place, so I need to get some more tomorrow ?:glare:

I've primed my Iron Warriors Infantry, just need to ?touch up where the sprays missed - I'll do that tonight.

Finally, I've started to convert the transports which my Exodus Wars proxy stand-ins for Chaos/Genestealer cultists will use. ?I want to convey bulky land-freighters which have been 'borrowed' and shoe-horned for a martial purpose... here are the first, pre-green stuffing & minus a few additional details:

Glad you like them! :)  I've added wheels to the front of one of them, but this afternoon I worked on the Rhino transports for my Iron Warriors Infantry; these are going to look very spikey & Chaotic when I'm done with them! :;): :D

Well, I got nowhere near what I wanted done.  Stupid video games distracting me from important stuff like miniatures.

Ha, I know what you mean, I'm just glad that the kids are glued to our new Wii so I've not been able to get near it...  :D

Anyway, this afternoon I did a load of base coating on the Androsynths, this took forever and I've still not finished 4 of them, here are the 2 I did:

I then started on the highlighting; the first I did looked horrible so I painted over it and started again.  I'm going to try blending the highlights, but this is proving difficult - it'll take me some time to get all these done, and I'm finding it such a slog I doubt I'll do anymore of these again...  :(

After this, I carried on with the Iron Warrior Rhinos and Cultist Transports:

Great work on the transporters FS! How did you cut the rhinos? Surely not just using a craft knife?!

Erm, yeah...  ???   I have very tough finger tips from cutting them ridiculous amounts of time, that's right, cutting bits of Epic minis to make conversions!

I really recommend you get a set of photo-etched razor saws.  They are awesome for cutting up epic plastics, and you hardly ever cut your own fingers anymore!

:)

Way I see it, the painting and modeling deities require a blood sacrifice to ensure a successful completion of the mini.

If that is so, I've got a list, starting with my former bosses, some of their friends and a 5'2" brown haired female !    To start !!

Spent a good part of last night cleaning my new Exodus Wars minis. ?They aren't for the army I'm currently working on, I just wanted an excuse to examine them closely.

The Prefect Precinct is a very nice set of models. ?I think I'm going to create a couple of infantry companies for my guard army out of them. ?Guard using available Arbites forces to shore up their numbers.

The Khazari are so detailed. ?I fear they will seriously tax my limited painting skills.

The Legion Centuria impressed me most of all. ?They are even better looking in person. ?After closer examination, I am even more certain they would make great Human auxilia for Tau. ?They just have this otherworldly meets regular military look to them. ?Squarish guns and blocky shoulder pads just add to it. ?I love 'em.

The Hoplon APC is a little rough around the edges, but something about it just screams Ork. ?It's not perfectly symmetrical. ?It doesn't have the same details on both sides, a bit uneven. ?It couldn't fit better as a Battlewagon or with a suitable turret, as a Gunwagon. ?Love this one too.
