Hmm.  I saw this as an opportunity to beef up my 'DRM Krays as Xlan' force.  Or are we only allowed to work on officially recognised E:A armies?

Strictly speaking, this is anything but Epic or BFG - but les strictly,  :p , anything goes!
So I'd say, go right ahead, unless you want to save these for a Tale of Epic Gamers. Am I right BigC?  :D

By the way, I might settle for VSF stuff too, seeing there are other Andrayad-painters around - just for variety.
Also, BigC, what are the chances of holding a Battlecomp? Not easy to categorize, so I'd just plump for a one-size-fits-all open category. Any thoughts? Yes, I know... prizes would come from...?  ???

This year, pretty much anything will go. Any force, for any game, proxies or whatever is interesting for you. Future years may place more restrictions, but I want to see how it works first.

I am open to having a final vote for the best completed force (should encourage people not to drop out half way through), but I am not sure about prizes. Bragging rights would be fine.

I'd agree to the votes - as you pointed out, it would keep people in.  :D
Mind you, it WOULD be nice to have EVERY manufacturer who is represented by models in the competition give a prize for the best force produced entirely from their range.....  :;):  :p    :D

Except that I've already blown way over $50US in minis this week for my FlameKrieg force... Ah, I think I can spread this out a bit, into bitesize chunks at least (problem being those :cuss ing expensive halftracks that you need MANY of to make a German armored PanzerGrenadier force...)

Oh, and I need a digital camera.

I'll see what I can pull off (pretty sure the neighbor's got one, and a couple of my friends have digicams, too).

Hey, Van, I don't like that idea.  Eureka doesn't make enough Kerberos to build a full unit in any kind of scale appropriate to 15mm games, and I'm using Battlefront vehicles and support weapons (mortars and AT guns).  Besides, like there's any chance FW or GW would go for any prize support where they're competing against anyone else's minis.

OK. I will start this rolling just after Christmas.

Thanks.

Coolness.

Is it OK if I use the Kerberos guys for my force, and just break them down into smaller chunks per month?

It would technically be a 7-8 month project @ $50/mo, with as much as I've put into those halftracks, but the Infantry is (only) a month-and-a-half's worth of budget including shipping.

Also, does this include general supplies like paint, brushes, and basing materials, or is it just $50/month in minis?

Cost is in minis only. Additional requirements are not counted.

I guess that, since money hangs over from month to month, having an excess is not a problem. There should be at least some minis purchased (and painted) every month, though!  :;):
