If you're looking for magnest for titan weapons and such, K&J has a bunch of 6mm x 1.5mm in their surplus magnets.
The closest ones they had a magnet strength on were 1/4 x 1/16 in, which is slightly larger. Those have a pull strength of 0.20 lbs, so the surplus ones should have plenty of strength to hold titan weapons. Or tank turrets or similar-sized pieces.
I ordered 250 of them for $16, including $5 shipping. I think a pack of 100 was $5 plus shipping. You can order much larger batches, too, if you want them.

BTW, that's about 1/3 of the price for 1/4 x 1/16 in magnets.

Wow, that's a pretty good deal. I've thinking about picking up some.
Neal, are they small enough to fit into the weapon mounts for Titans and Gargants?

6mm is a bit bigger than the pegs used for the weaponry, so you can't just plug them into the existing holes.
Most weapons and the shoulder mounts for the titans are substantial so you should be able to counter-sink the magnets so they fit flush. Even some that aren't, like Eldar weapons or Reaver CC weapons, are hidden when on the table top. The shoulders can still be countersunk. You should be able to clip the pegs off the weapons and just glue the magnets on. The only difference would be that the weapons hang 1.5mm lower due to the thickness of the magnets on the weapon.

I've used 6mm magnets on the arm sockets of metal Warlord titans... they're too big to be placed in visible positions however, IMHO.

Thanks for the info, Neal. I hadn't thought about counter-sinking. What a great idea! Either way, I can live with weapons hanging a little lower. I think you're right that on the table you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Now I'm really tempted.

If anyone is interested in service from K&J, I placed the order Saturday afternoon and received confirmation of shipment on Monday.

Update: Magnets arrived yesterday (4 working days from the order date) and will be plenty strong enough to hold any desired weaponry.

Are you getting a commission from them? Your sales pitch is awefully effective.

Heh. No.
I just thought that since those magnets are a small fraction of the price I've found on comparable items anyplace else that people would be interested in whether it was really a good deal or someone unloading junk.
I'm done now... I promise.

Nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about your hobby and wanting to share your discoveries with others.
I'm pretty sure that's why most of us hang out here. We can sit back and let someone else to the research!

Well, Neal's sales pitch proved irresistable. After speaking with my nephew, I placed an order for 250, which we will split.
