It would be a shame to ruin such a lovely paint job. Besides that tank would be perfectly camoflaged for a world with a surface similar to that of Mars.

Excellent work ! And I see it's deployed on a planet with an iron oxide desert ! As Con said, like Mars, the Angry Red Planet ! Looks good !

Nice job!
Although I'm sure it's great as a LR proxy, it looks very much like the old Predators...

What kind of wash did you use? It looks somewhat brownish to me.

Thanks!
Orkybob: I use a Fujifilm Finepix S3000, which truth be told, I'm not all that happy with. Other people with other cameras seem to get much better results. It's set up on a tripod for mini photos. The 'photo rig' is four 12" square pieces of white laminated chipboard, screwed together into the box (missing the top and one side, obviously). The aim is that the slightly glossy white sides will reflect the light all around the mini. The tutorial I based it on used a cardboard box with sheet styrene curved round the inside. You can also get light tents on ebay that do the same thing, I think. The lighting is two fluorescent desk lamps: one above and one further towards the camera, pointed down at an angle. I think one would probably do fine.
L4: except it's the blue-grey of an ash-swathed techworld.
LI, Con: After seeing DRM's new tanks, I might keep this one as a vanquisher (I'm thinking of making my titan legion double up as a tech-guard army) and buy the newer ones to act as standards and demolishers. Except it leaves the problem of what to do with the five other chasseurs I have...
Mojarn Piett: I can't remember! With test minis I tend to go a bit crazy, trying to find out what few techniques would work best on the other minis. I think there's a bit of black in the first wash or two (paint or ink? Can't remember), a little brown, some scab red, and I think the red ink for the final wash was the only one I didn't mix with another colour.
Anyways, I blacked over some hammerjacks I'd only just started, based them with codex grey, and washed them with a mix of the same with Vallejo Model Colour german grey (a very dark grey). Already they look great, and after I retouch the codex grey I'm going to try some brown camo stripes over them.
The camo thing is also making me rethink my knights. They were going to be white with black central stripes, like the Beattie coat of arms. Now, after some frustrating indecision, I'll go over them with the old citadel ghoul grey, and keep the b&w on one greave.
