Hello, now I'm not sure if many of you have ever found your self in this position (I should imagine not if you're Primarch or Legion 4  :;):  :D ), but from time to time I go through my boxes of spare miniatures and think something along the lines of 'I've got 2 dozen Rhino's.  I cannot see any reason why I should need that many - I'll put some up for trade!'

Now this is the equivalent of a gaming situation when you go for that armour save/initiative test/to hit dice roll, and utter the legendary words 'anything but a one...'

Which is exactly what you come up with  ???

So, anyway, I DID trade off a load of Plastic Rhinos about 7-8 months ago, not seeing any use for them.

Now, I actually need them!   :O  I've succumbed to making another 2 Iron Warriors siege-gun conversions (for which Justiniel has very generously agreed to supply the Rhino parts I need); but then i've just got the new Exodus Wars Guild Centuria, which I'll be converting in to Chaos/Genestealer Cultists - and I've now got an idea of converting Transports for them from Plastic Rhino's and Plastic Ork Tanks... typical!  :p

It just goes to show, you should never utter the infamous words 'I'll never use these models' when looking through your box of spares; because it usually turns out (in my case anyway) that you do!

Or is it just me?

Thanks for reading!

There is no such thing as too many epic models :p

Did I mention I have marines for more than 1 chapter, with rhino's along? Only stuff like predators etc are limited.

You never know when you can play that mega battle with entire chapter on field(the rest are for my 2nd chapter. Different paint scheme, different army list).

Nuts? Me? What makes you think so

I couldn't agree more.  :D  Many months ago I won an auction for 70 Rhinos (for only about $20!) and a few auctions for a total of about three dozen Land Raiders, with the intention of allocating most of them to my Blood Axes and Squats. Even having this many "spares", I'm loath to trade them away, just in case.  :p

Tell me about it!  I'm still smarting from the time I realised I'd auctioned off all my nids.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, I spent a while accumulating square epic bases from ebay, only to realise I didn't like them and (truly) would never use them.
I might have a post for the trading board pretty soon, seeing as my memory's been jogged.

NEVER give up Rhinos.  Too many things you can do with them.  SM, Chaos, Squats, SOB, Orks, conversions.

Darn, just came across this, had I known I'd have thrown a half dozen into the shuttle.

Ahh, not to worry Justiniel - the Cultist Transport thing is not an urgent project, something to add to my evergrowing list of 'Epic Army Projects I will Eventually Get Round To Doing One Day.'

BTW - Shuttle successfully completed its mission; Obsolete armour delivered in A1 condition - thank you very very much! :D

Good Golly, that was quick, no problemo, if there's any reason to send something else your way I'll try and remember.
