Good news.  The GW manager has decided to let us play specialest games.  It appears that several other people have been asking hi as well!

The only proviso is that we don't play on club nights (thursdays) and preferably not at the weekend.

Glad he saw sense, nice job on converting another player! The biggest problem I have convincing new players is the reaction "no thanks, I played Space Marine and it took five hours to finish our game". I find new players are shocked at how quickly a massive battle resolves itself and how easily you can learn the rules. A fairly complete Space Marine or Ork army for ?10 off ebay is quite a draw too! How popular do you think Epic is compared to the other specialist games? It seems to have the most active players from what I can tell.

BFG and Epic are the two most popular Specialist Games iirc.

While BFG may be slightly more popular in numbers of players, I think Epic might generate more revenue for GW.***
