Love the Landship. I agree, it fits right into that look.  :D

Love how you got some VSF, Fantacy, and Epic all fit in there.

Love the Land Train, er.... Land Ironclad.  The Blue Dwarf looks great, too.

He looks very much like a living statue!

As for the "Land Ironclad", I have to agree, that look

yay ?:D
Someone got it ?:D ?:D
Thanks Consectari ?:D
best thing is it's a fast scheme to paint.
Oh - and nice Avatar too.
The Land Ironclad Train beastie was inspired by a real live steam train roaring past on my way to Venice last April. These, by the way, are to me some of the most out of scale models in the history of Epic. The Land Ironclads game 2mm scale fits much better. Another mega-flag, though..

It's not a mega-flag.  Have you seen a picture of an American ship at anchor on a Sunday?  The Holiday Ensign is HUGE (like 15x25 feet), and there's an even bigger flag for use onshore (it's 30x50!)

Also, didn't ships in the days before radar use enormous flags, so that you could see who was sailing your way?  I know they did for 'Master and Commander', but I'm not sure if that was actually historically correct or not.

Really? Yay - thanks for the support info, Lion. I'l check out the flag-signalling bit - or perhaps Tas is about? Tas?  :D

I didn't manage to do any painting this weekend but I did manage to reorganise my Epic forces.  I'm in the process of splitting out my troops into company size forces in individual boxes.

I was reviewing what models I needed for my IG and Marines forces so as a result I ordered the following recently -

From GW
Space Marine Whirlwinds and Hunters
Space Marine Character Pack
Imperial Guard Chimeras
2 X Imperial Guard Valkyries

From Chaosorc
8 X Drop Pods
1 X Paladin commander
3 x razorbacks

With that I hope to have completely finished my Marine chapter! Plus well on the way to a nice size IG army which is very maneouverable (sp?)

Any plans for a repeat or next installment of this? I will try to get some more painting done this weekend, but another paint event would focus me more.

Maybe it's time for "Tales of Epic Gamers"? ? :D

If you were in the US Eastern seaboard, you could be madly scrambling (like me) to finish off your army for Council of Five Nations in Albany, NY or Specialist Con in Memphis, TN.  Care to take a trip?

I was wondering the same thing. It doesn't look like dafrca has been around much lately and I would hate to have an International Projects Day without him, since it was his idea.  :D
